I have a 66 Beech FV. I am wondering if anyone know what a fair market price would be as a roller or complete. The car has lots of west coast history and is pretty complete.
Thanks for any help

| I have a 65 mark 5 that was in pieces when I got it 9 years ago...for a $1000. I would estimate it's worth $3000 now.

A clean Beech complete with a very good motor requiring no safety updates might bring $5K. Motors are cheap but a very good vintage motor complete should be able to fetch a whopping $2K.
Adjust from there.
Some of the nicest Vees in VARA have changed hands recently. They are a real bargain. I paid TOP FV dollar ($7500) for a competitve Caldwell a couple of years ago.

Joe,
Just don't expect it to appreciate much in value. Heck even we were to agree the market is really soft and it may go up 50% in 5 years, 150% of a couple of bucks isn't much profit unless of course you have a whole bunch of FVs!

Oh no I would like to see this car raced again. It is just not a good time to do a low value project. If I just leave it in the rafters then I am not temped to spend money on it. I am the king of buying high and loosing my butt. _________________ 71 240z

Joe:
My only comment here is that the price of parts for Vw's is going up much faster than the American dollar is going down.
Some parts have increased 40-50% in the last year.
