Tech at AAA Speedway 5-6-7-8 March 2009

Tech at AAA Speedway 5-6-7-8 March 2009

Postby Jerry Bernhiemer on Fri Feb 20, 2009 12:52 pm

Tech will commence at 3 pm Thursday till about 5:30 or so. Then again at 7am Friday am.

It will be in the usual spot.....in the pass thru garage just south of the registration office.

You must go to registration FIRST to get your credentials and your Tech Sheet. Check all boxes that apply on the sheet and sign the back...as well as enter the event and sign your logbook and make sure you bring all your gear BEFORE getting in the Tech line.

Annuals bypass Tech entirely ...just go to registration and you will get your sticker there.

Enter the Tech Garage from the EAST side and exit to the West side. NO running or starting of engines inside the garage!!!! :!:

In the Tech line have your gear OUT of the bags.
Body work off.
Hood and deck lid open.

Thank you.

If I come to the front of the line Thursday at tech's opening... can I PLEASE get an ANNUAL? ... PLEASE!!!

I just can't justify a 1600 mile round trip for an "annual tech" coming all the way from New Mexico for the regularly scheduled annual tech without a race. I run almost every race, and my car is professionally race prepped... :-) The additional burden of every race tech is not reasonable... It often requires an additional travel day that will eventually lead to my skipping races... Not good for me or VARA!

How about a little accommodation?

I feel you pain, Rick...When I was racing out of region it was always a pain to make early tech, especially after a 1500 mile tow on an open trailer...You do what you must, I guess.

I try to get an annual, but last year I was under the weather and ended up going to tech at every race. It was a PITA, for sure. If we could re visit the "roving tech" it would help. I know that in VARA, with a limited staff of technical inspectors, this is not going to happen...so be it. Still, it would be nice.
I have an annual on the Mini this year, but my son will need to see tech each race in the Locor...bummer.

I agree I am coming from NM and must travel three days more !
Cost is ridiculous.
So what does it take to get an annual?
