Finally the time has come! I can now talk about it!
The Vara Rookie makes good!
The reality show I was on is going to premier this Thursday on Speedtv. I was one of the thousands selected to try out for the show and made it in as a driver. I mentioned I raced in VARA a few times but they might edit that out. I think I represented myself well and raced hard. Watch to see what happens!
Funny enough the was a few other BMW racers driving besides me. You can see my face in the first promo for a sec too.....
watch the promo here.... http://www.setup-tv.com/
There will be a new episode each week. 8 total episodes and SpeedTV website says it available on HD.
The stakes are high, the driver talent pool is MUCH higher than season 1 and the action was non-stop.
NEXT thursday set your DVR to record! Should be a very entertaining 8 episodes!!
BTW.....the cars were Pontiac Soltice GXP (turbo I-4, RWD) 260hp and roll cages made by Pratt&Miller....they were alot of fun but I missed my BMW!!!
That's me in the promo video!
SET YOUR DVR to RECORD!! Cheer me on!!
I'm busy working on my car right now but hope to join the C-Sedan Grid soon this year! _________________ Pedro Guimaraes

Cool, yes we are the only car with a black hood now so we are easy to spot.
Since I'm a vintage racer now and used to racing clean and hard, which pretty much makes it so that I don't create any "drama" on the track. So I'm not getting much airtime. Funny how they missed me and Christiano Piquet racing each other for second place but they aired all the accidents.......I guess they can't show everything in the time frame they have so I understand.
I think so far I finished 9th in the oval, 4th in the first HTM race, lots of good battles in this race that they didn't show and more importantly avoided the destruction derby around me. Then yesterday's race I started 11th and finished 7th I think. Again raced clean and hard, the pack of 3 cars behind me was trying real hard to close the gap but I was able to keep my pace just a bit faster and eventually they created problems for each other. If you noticed last night I did not put a wheel off or touch anybody again. No penalties for me....
My teamate Chris Prey once again handed me a car with some mostly superficial damage as result of Him and Danan (california car cover) getting into each other. It was mostly superficial. We just pulled the toe-link and slammed it straight with a hammer and re-aligned the car best we could. The car was fine and nothing really slowed me down any and I did not feel anything wrong. Thank for my crew! Chris on his part once gain showed his speed in that race by passing pretty much the whole field one by one with ease! Well until he got to Danan....we all saw how that went down. It was pretty clear that he was blocking him hard.
So I guess I have to crash into somebody soon if I want to make it on TV more!
It was an awesome experience tough...
here's a clip of me putting a nice clean pass on MX-5 cup regular veteran Laura Olson.
...here's my pass in all it's glory.....hehe.
My small moment in the sun. It's so cool to watch yourself racing on TV......
