A VARA Porsche for sale...UPDATED ITEM

Postby thom kuby on Sat Oct 24, 2009 9:06 am

All,
• Due to shifting priorities, my '68 vintage Racer is up for sale...
• This car was built from the ground up as a vintage “late 60s-early 70s” classic configuration - to be “as raced” from that time period…
• In today’s 911 market, If you started with a 911, it would cost you close to $90k -$100k (conservative estimate) to duplicate this car alone…so, save big and buy this car for $25k (FOB Ridgecrest, California) – build it, tweak it, prep it the way you want, and still come out ahead.
• The whole car needs to be freshened-up and properly prepped to be seriously race ready.
• This is a GREAT vintage race platform for a beginner/rookie/casual 911 racer (like me…) simply because it is what it is...a converted 912; It's not an early numbers-matching anything, doesn't have any "period" history, nor is it anything rare that would command huge dollars (boy, don't I wish on that last one... )
• NOTE: The engine is currently apart.
• Car is NOT STREET LEGAL…I do have a title for it however. You can, with some effort, make it street legal again...I can go into further detail via pm.
• Please PM me with any serious inquiries, questions, etc. Happy to chat.

OBTW...This thing weighs in around 1990lbs (with 175lbs in the drivers seat) on the corner scales...It was recently demonstrated to me just how fast this car is - with the right driver behind the wheel. You won't be disappointed...

$25k OBO ( I will also consider selling the car minus the disassembled engine...)

Just an FYI...

The asking price on my Porsche IS quite negotiable...you would be supporting my new, small business by purchasing this car.

I ain't that hard to get along with... :D
