VARA University 2010!!

Postby Murray Chalmers on Thu Oct 29, 2009 7:12 am

There will be a preliminary organizational meeting at the Big Bore Bash to review and plan the University of VARA for 2010. Anyone interested in helping out, or who has helped in the past, please plan to attend. If possible, send your e-mail address to me at mchalmers@pollybutte.net so I can keep in touch.

Hello Murray,

Do you have a date yet for the 2010 University? I could only find reference to 2009.. I would like to tell as many potential students as early as possible.

Thanks!

The U of V will be on February 6&7 2010. It is open to racers and people who just want to learn how to drive their street cars better. What a great Christmas gift for a friend, lover, son or daughter.

Hi Murray, I'd be glad to help again. I can bring a car (I hope) for lead and follow for single seat race-prepped cars if you need that.

Good Morning Murray,

I have been asked if we have a waiver for drivers under the age of 18 for street cars at the VU. Do you or anyone else know the rules regarding this? I am sure it is an insurance issue.....

David, et all. The rules are:
"D.5 MINOR DRIVERS
Driver/Participants under 18 years of age must be signed for and accompanied by parent or guardian. In no case will
drivers be accepted under the age of 16 years."
So the parent or guardian must be at the track all weekend for all drivers under 18 years old. 16 to 18 must have a valid California (or other state) drivers license.
