I have an alpine for sale. All of the right 'stuff'. Motor was professionally rebuilt last Fall, two races since. 1725cc, Holbay head, ported/polished, dual Weber's, Carillo Rods, custom JE pistons, numbered custom Isky cam etc.... New Hoosiers last Spring, three races since, mounted to Panasports. New Crow belts dated 05/2009. Ready to race, last raced few weekends ago at the Spring Sprints. Rick.....Sure you don't want to do this? If I remember correctly, you've already been there and done that with the FF. I think it's time to slow down, plus this car would easily get you in to this weekend's Wine Country and possibly the Historics. I've driven this car at Thunder Hill and it is very nice, extremely competitive and unique in it's class. You could make Joe Siam and all the Spits cry for mercy if you drive it well in FP. It was built by Larry Young from Bakersfield (an Alpine/Tiger guy that is currently building a Herrington coupe). Rick has owned it 3 or 4 years and made numerous improvements to the car. Rick races it very gently, but you can see in the picture he is also a little tall for the car. Somebody 6' or under will fit better down into the car.

I remember that car from when I was racing in FP. It's fast.

Hi Efrain! Haven't seen you blazing around the track lately! Yes, when Larry had the car is won the FP class, I am toooo gentle with it, and with the new motor, only took it to 6000rpm's at the Spring Sprints a couple of weeks ago. New motor and ready to rock! Maybe you had better have your Pop buy it so it won't clean up the Sprite? Uhhh...no?....ha...ha.. (I'll get you and your little dog too!)

I'll call you tomorrow in the early afternoon. I have a chore in the morning. The Alpine has won in FP... when Larry drove it, I on the other hand am not the best! The yellow Spit from So. Cal. that was sold to Steve Hare a couple of years ago now runs in the Northwest, and Steve regularly kicks my butt! My alpine is $18K firm, if you build your guy a 1300cc with limited slip and some goodies totaling the $18K, (and he doesn't have to pay the shipping from Washington State).... it will spank the Pine all day long! Now...if you could get Efrain Jr. to drive the Pine...hhmmmm.......

The Alpine sold to a racer down under, so the car will be thrashing around Australia! Odd turn of events huh? Looking for a replacement.....hhmmmm.......thanks for the listing opportunity, it's appreciated!! I wonder if Tom Colby has anything around his shop...hmmmm....anyway, big thanks to VARA, as usual, and for the comments guys, hope to see you at the track in the new racer!
