Cograts Schuman. you were supposed to wait for me....(according to Joe...team orders) ..at least I could see you up there somewhere. Evil or Very Mad

Also to Group 1 winner Mr. Cox.....he either was on nitrous or knows Alfred Neubauer. That car has never been that fast.

Mitch in HP has to buy stock in Teleflex...broken throttle cable in lap #1. No flag for you!! (or soup). But you get honorable mention for fixing the other gremlins you had.

Jerry,
Thanks for technical support and crimper. Multiple people came over to help throughout the weekend and that just confirms why VARA is a great Race group. Fixes/upgrades are already in the works to make sure those issues do not happen again.

Had a great time at the races and pitting next to you. Looks like you faired well with the tire deals. Thanks for the intro to Pancho Villa.

Dear Mitch:

Sorry about the spin in front of you in Lap One. Turns out the left rear leaf spring had separated earlier that day (it made the car a bit loose to say the least). Thanks for avoiding me and again please accept my apologies for the unnecessary distraction.

John

Thanks to everyone in this Group for making room for the BIG red Volvo all weekend. My rookie son, Jason was running his first sprint race and since I was running the car where it belongs in Group 7 this group seemed to be the best place for it. I understand it was voted "best car to draft behind"by the Spit guys.

Your son looked good and is a welcome addition to the clan. Hell, Alan, the Peterbilt crowd voted the 544 the best car to draft behind.

John,
Not a problem...... You did a great job keeping the car in a controlled state after the spin occurred and did the right thing by being patient and allowing oncoming cars to pass prior to turning the car around and continuing. Fortunately, I was far enough behind the spin to choose a good line to avoid you. Darn those pesty leaf springs.. Hope that you will get it fixed in time for the Buttonwillow race.

Dear Mitch:

Thanks for the kind words. Better to be a slow rookie than a stupid one. I saw last race at BE what happens when someone tries to come back on track in traffic or when not in the proper direction of travel. I have an in car video that I will give you at Buttonwillow that shows what a great job you did getting by me. The car should be ready (it was its first time out) and the tires will be right for the car (rather than pulled off of our TR4) which
should help the oversteer. Thanks again.

Dear Mitch:

Forgot to add that your response typifies what is expected from a "gentlemen driver" competing for the sport rather than the ego. In every race this year you have run clean and it has been a real pleasure. See you at BW.
