Just wanted to say a big THANKS to my fellow Datsun family members who helped me this last weekend at BBB. My car broke on the grid for Sat qual race, but was fixed in time for Sun's main. Though we had to start in the back (dead last) of the pack, we did make the race and had fun getting through as much of the field as we could.
THANKS to,
Larry Hasseler...for the time and effort we spent on distributor changes and other ignition issues.
Chris & Michelle Horn.... for use of their extra Pertronix unit which we would of never found in time in the desert....plus battery charging.
Ruben Torres... for the ballast resistor we added, just in case.
That's what makes VARA such a great group of people to race with. Racers helping racers even if they are in the same class.......did I hear the word sportsmanship

Indeed! The helping hand (and open spare parts bin) is what VARA is all about...
What's the fun of beating (or losing to...) somebody who is stuck in the paddock with a solvable problem? _________________ Rick Clemente
