As someone who may be lighter than many (180# in off-season, 165# race weight) I support a minimum weight with driver (for any class) for several reasons:

1) Less whining about being faster because of a lower driver weight.

2) The lighter I am, the less work and money I need to spend lightening my car.

3) I can run more ballast where I want it.

4) I can improve the rigidity of my chassis with a stronger and safer cage.

All plusses in my book.

Twisted Evil I'll be sure to lace your next burger with a little lead dust... over time it could slow you down a little... (one way or the other) Wink

glad to see eveyone agrees to follow the rules. what a relief.

rick, i think the last time we were weighed the scales were not calibrated properly, and could be off by over 100lbs. i am working on getting scales to burpville. also, i think it would be constructive for b/s participants to form a committee to discuss what we want and where we are going.

per jerry's suggestion - there is a project for a b/s rule rewrite to clarify and simplify the rules (not change to them), and i am sure that jeff ireland and darlene could use all the support we can provide them. any thoughts fellow racers?

we can hash this out further weekend after next.

good idea. i'll be in central america the weekend of BE, so please keep me posted on what happens. once we have a good set of rules in stone, i'm sure all those b sedan cars sitting in peoples garages will come out and play (mine included).

Looks to me like Wass thinks I'm under weight...
That would be a world class FIRST!!! As I have always been a "healthy baby" and a "Chubby" sized kid. Check out:>>

Bob: I'll bolt in whatever amount of lead you think is required... and I will still whip your ass (assuming Hugo doesn't let either you or me down!)! Rolling Eyes Exclamation

So what's going on with B Sedan?

Did car's get weighed at British Extravaganza?

Can I drop in my Autodelta 16V cyl head?

Is my Colotti gearbox legal?

No weighing was done- There will be a complete setup at Fontana in the Tech Garage - So hopefully we can get your guys in order there -
