I saw the photographer for Vintage Voice Magazine there and two other photographers who were being taken to various points around the track (turn twelve and turn eight). Sorry I don't have the names. I was on the bridge walk way both days with my video camera. I have the qualifying and flag races for all the run groups plus the one hour Enduro race.

Glad that the bridge was again open for photographers/spectators. It's really the only place to get a good view of most of the action and it was shut down for the last Fontana event. Thanks to whomever for making it available again.

Still miss the bleachers that used to be near the east hairpin turn, is it turn 8? They were great.

It's turn 8 according to the Golden State Classic t-shirt, but the shirt doesn't show turns 12 and 13. The last time there were bleachers at turn 8 was in 2004. 8)

Your best shot might be to contact Vara at Vara@msn.com and ask if they have 8) Gil's phone #. I looked through the Vintage Voice magazine and I couldn't find a number for him.

Hello DB4Tim, I was actually one of the photographers out at turn 18 for both of the days and some at the start finish line amongst other location that I was able to get to safely and with permission. I know that the race in March really BLEW as tey closed the infield down on Sunday for the race. I had to get creative and shoot from thru the fence and also on top of our trailer.

Here is a link to my Picasa Photo Album, please feel free to pass the link around should other like to see what I was able to capture. I am still a beginner and still working on getting the techniques down, but just enjoy shooting pics.

Hope you enjoy!

Should you have any trouble gaining access to the 2 links above, please feel free to contact me via email and I will email the direct link from the Picasa Album site: revhard191@msn.com

Cheers,
