NASA will require head and neck restraints in 2008.

H&N restraint with SFI 38.1 cert required as of June 2, 2008

Specification 38.1 - Head and Neck Restraint Systems
Hubbard-Downing HANS Device
Leatt Brace Moto-R Sport Device
LFT Technologies R3 Device
Safety Solutions Hutch-II Device
Safety Solutions Hutchens Hybrid Device
Safety Solutions Hybrid X Device

Porsche Club of America, and Porsche Owners Club, are requiring them next year as well with SFI 38.1 or FIA 8858.
"What's that little red car?"
"That's a Sprite."
"There's no way it's a Sprite. It just passed a 911."

The R3 has lower priced model coming out with the 38.1 spec. Call the Rage R3- Not full carbon fiber but with same protection. I think $300 less than the full carbon one.
Thanks,
