FV Wanted

FV Wanted

I am looking for a FV in order to return to racing after a 5 year hiatus. Believe it or not, my wife has insisted that I pursue this. I started out in FVs in south Florida in the '70s and worked my up through FF to Porsches most recently. I've been clean for a few years but it's time to get back in.

If any of you hear of a car coming up for sale, please drop me a line. I would prefer a zero roll car but I will look seriously at anything that is reasonably complete. Unfortunately, I will probably miss the April race due to work.

Thanks,

Kevin Kehoe

Car purchased

Postby kpkehoe on Wed Mar 25, 2009 8:37 am

I purchased a D-13 (chassis #22) from John Casaut last night. John assembled this car from boxes of parts over several years. I spite of having no experience with or specific knowledge of Vees, he did a superb job. The level of craftsmanship is remarkable. As far as I can determine, the car hasn't turned a wheel since 1991. Another one returns from the grave!

I want to thank Kim and Dietmar for their patient assistance. As is usual in these pursuits, I met a number of interesting and incredibly helpful folks while looking at cars. I've still got a couple of small things left to update. Hopefully, I will have it on the track in May.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Vee from John. I am looking forward to racing with you. The more the vee's out there, the more fun we will all have.
If you need anything else, I will be glad to help with what ever I can. You have my number.
