Fontana

Postby Paul Konkle on Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:06 pm

Looks like a standard 50 amp plug, 3 wires and a ground. There are outlets at Fontana for that.

Not being an RV guy, but is there such a thing an adapter cord that has a standard household outlet on one end (female) with the RV plug (as in Tim's expertly attached photo) on the other end? So the non-RV guys can plug into one of those pods at the Speedway?

There are adapters, you can get one at Wal-Mart, bit I think there are regular outlets as well on the post.

LOOKADIS...........

you might want to make up some pigtail /adapters so yo can be flexible at various tracks.

Between the garages you will find 50A 4 pin (3+ ground). I dont know what you will find out in the paddock area. (mice and rollers?)

The picture appears to be the 50 amp rv plug. That is the one I have that works at the track. When you park there is about a three foot side walk and the receptical is about two feet high. As a result you will need about and additional five feet of cord not to make a trip hazard beyond your bumper minimum. If you plan on using microwave, TVs, Air conditioners, and such do not use a whimpy extention. The good ones at the RV stores are not cheap but you can run every thing. It is soooooooo cool to run the AC's and not run the generator.
