Careful....Rick, obviously you have more pull than I do with VARA because your post hasn't been deleted. When I posted an event that had zero interference with the VARA schedule, it was pulled. Kinda cheesey, just like deleting posts that don't reflect favorably on club rules or an orginization. The benefits of having a non-public forum.

See my comment under "Rules & Regulations..." below:

"I don't have any current rant that might come a-fowl of the "be-nice" BB policy. NOTE that I DO ENDORSE the idea that we should all present a POSITIVE face for VARA in this public forum!
That said, some of us (who live FAR away, and are not able to regularly attend BOD meetings) might have, from time to time, issues that do need airing.
What about a password-protected "members only" message-board area where we can let our hair down and thrash out whatever we feel like in private?
Mark?, Pat?, Darlene?. What do you think?

Rick, I hear ya cluckin' big chicken. I don't feel any of the rants negatively foreshadowed this orgainization at all other than the following of or interpretation of the rules as stated. I happen to like VARA very much. Like you, I also have to travel for every VARA event. It's just too bad that any constructive critisizm or challenges need to be made behind closed doors out of earshot of those who may ad to the solution unless they are in the know.
