Previously, when arm restraints are allowed in lieu of a window net, we allowed the use of just the outboard arm restraint.

Going forward into 2008 we will require BOTH arm restaints in lieu of a window net. The rules have always stated "arm restraintS" ....so the rules have not been changed.

Check the LENGTH of the adjusters so you have limited arm travel. We are still finding that some drivers have the straps way too long and allow hands and arms to go well outside the cage or the car.

Thanks Jerry , there was definately some confusion with regard to the use of arm restraints . Keeping your arms close to your body protects both your arms and your chest/ribs in a crash . That is the reason for the requirement
