Any Serious 1/43rd F-1 modelers around here?
I just recently acquired 20+ 1/43rd scale white metal kits - all basically unbuilt.
They are almost all F-1 Cars
Some have been started (some more so than others)
Some don't have the instruction sheet - you'd have to build those by either braille, experience, or both
Here's a list (with the manufacturer's name first)
BBR
- WILLIAMS FW16B (FRENCH GP) 1994
- FERRARI 412 T1B (FRENCH GP) 1994
- TYRELL-Yamaha 021 (British GP-I think, labels' hard to read) 1993
- JORDAN-Peugeot (BRAZILIAN GP) 1995 ...ON HOLD
MERI Kits
- FERRARI 640 "AIRSCOPE" 1989...ON HOLD
- WILLIAMS FW12C (IMOLA GP) 1989
- BENETTON FORD B188 (IMOLA GP) 1988
- FERRARI 126 C4-M2 1984...ON HOLD
- LIGIER MEGATRON JS 29B 1987...SOLD
SRC Models
- FERRARI 156 65 F1 1961 (The "Sharknose")...ON HOLD
- BRM H16 P83 F1 1967
- FERRARI 312-T4 Sheckter/Villenueve 1979
- ARROWS FA-1 Patrese 1978...ON HOLD
SMTS
- LOTUS 49/8 F1 (no year indicated)
- MARCH 701 F1 (no year indicated)
- FERRARI 312-B F1 (no year indicated)
TAMEO Kits
- WILLIAMS Renault FW12C (SAN MARINO GP) 1989
- JORDAN Peugeot 196 (GERMAN GP) 1996...ON HOLD
- BENETTON B189 (BRITISH GP) 1989
- AGS Cosworth JH23 (MONACO GP) 1988
- MCLAREN Mercedes MP4/10 (BRAZILIAN GP) 1995...ON HOLD
MISC Kits (brand in pharen...)
- COBRA DAYTONA COUPE ("Classic Super Cars" - England)
- FERRARI DINO 206 Sebring ("Record" - France)
- FERRARI 512M LEMANS/DAYTONA 1971 ("Marsh Models" - England)
- BENETTON Cosworth: out of original box, no instructions, tough to ID...appears complete.
OK...
- These are kits intended for the very serious 1/43rd modeler...which I am not. (I'm a ready built die-cast guy...)
- I really don't know beans about these things.
- I do know that brand new kits start at about $50 and just go up from there.
- Like I said earlier, some of these kits don't have their instructions, and others appear to have been started - at least the body shell has been prepped - but not much effort beyond that. Other kits appear virgin.
- I have no idea how complete each kit is...if you're interested in a particular kit, I can take a closer look with your assistance (on the phone, email, etc)
- I'm offering these up to my VARA "family" first. So, any and all reasonable, intelligent offers (pick & choose, or buy the whole collection) will be considered...these are very cool models and they really need to go to the right home.
NOTE: Whatever's left after today (12/4) is heading off to fleabay...if you're interested in anything, please pm me ASAP!
I am interested in the SRC models - - - the Ferrari and BRM models of the sixties. Are these complete? If not, what appears missing? Are they assembled or partially assembled? Finally, what price are you willing to accept for both?
I am not a "modeler" but would like to try out putting these together. Thanks.

Hi, Mario,
I have someone in front of you who is interested in the SRC Ferrari 156 (The Sharknose). However, I've not heard from that person lately...I will ping him to see if he's still in.
The BRM had been started...it appears to be all there. Unfortunately, I think it's going to take some minor soldering/repair work to make right. It would be a stunning model when finished correctly. Because of these issues, I wouldn't recommend this particular kit for you. However, If you think you'd like to give it a shot, I'll take $35 + shipping from zip 93555 for it.
That said; If you are a beginning modeler...I also have here three Tamiya 1/20 scale F1 kits available as well:
1. 1963 Lotus 25
2. 1965 Honda RA-272
3. 1991 Tyrrell Honda 020
I think any of these 3 kits might be a better introduction to modeling...Tamiya is quite famous for their quality, and their kits are extremely popular in the modeling world.
All three kits are open box, unstarted, and complete. The '65 Honda and the '63 Lotus are still sealed in bags. The '91 Honda is not sealed - however, all the parts remain on their "trees".
Let me know what you think. and thanks for the interest!
Cheers

Hi, Chris,
No...All I have is what's on the list above.
BTW - the cars "on hold" are still here, as that deal went south on me.
I'm willing to entertain intelligent offers on all this as a "lot" purchase, if you or anyone you know might be interested. I'd like to see these kits go to a good home, and soon.
I never did send any of 'em to fleabay...
Thanks for the inquiry
