Competitive, reliable, and neutral handling vintage race car, built by an aerospace engineer who raced it in SF Region SCCA from 1977-1993. I have raced it with VARA ever since (17 years). Dependable near-front runner with conservative driver. Very few DNFs. Many trick features. Three races on Jerry Barker motor; 1147 cc .040 over; competition cam; Cosworth pistons; Pauter rods; dual SUs; fresh transmission; new clutch; rebuilt shocks; Summers Brothers axles; new fuel cell; full roll cage; GT6 brakes; Accusump; Optima battery; Pertronix; formula car seat; removable steering wheel; current belts; welded rear end (4:11) - spare 4:57; corner balanced and aligned; records and log books; factory manuals. Comes with 2 sets of wheels and a mountain of spares: blocks, heads, extra tranny, carbs, suspension parts, axles, brakes, rear ends etc., etc.
I regret selling this car, which has served me well for all these years. But it just sits in my garage, having been raced only once or twice a year for the past few years, as I have been actively racing another car. $13,500 or trade for interesting sports car, such as TVR, Lotus, Marcos, or Porsche, of equal value. I'll be racing at Buttonwillow this weekend if you want to see it. Roy Bruckner (909) 626-6829 home; (909) 263-8537 cell.
